NEW EXPERIENCES
We had a lot of new experiences
that we haven’t had in our community. For example, we visited Sydney University
and experienced how city schools are different from our school in Wadeye.
We also visited many museums and we
learned that mass is very different in the city. There is a lot of sitting down
and standing up. It made us very tired.
We got to use more English when we
asked for drinks in the restaurants and with people that we passed. Many people
wanted to talk to us. We got to practice our manners all the time. We had to
remember to be polite and to say please,
thank you and excuse me.
